The goal of Flight VA133 – the 133rd ARIANE mission – was to lift the N-SAT-110 satellite into a geostationary transfer orbit. The mission used an ARIANE 42L launcher equipped with two solid-fuel boosters. It was the 99th launch of an Ariane 4 and the 12th in its 42L configuration.
The launch took place at ELA-2, the No. 2 launch pad at the Kourou spaceport in French Guiana. This ARIANE mission transported a payload of 3,572kg, of which the satellite injected into the required orbit accounted for 3,531kg.
Liftoff of ARIANE 42L flight VA133 took place during the night of Oct. 6-7, 2000 at 20 hours local time. The flight lasted 21 minutes 54 seconds.
