IAC 2019 – ready for take-off
The IAC is the annual headline event for the entire space sector, a multidisciplinary event which brings together scientists, industry and agency representatives, astronauts, political decision-makers, and journalists, and attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world.
The 70th IAC takes place this year in the US capital Washington DC, and ArianeGroup, a major player in the global launcher and space equipment market, is naturally part of it.
Technology highlights
On its stand (No. 212) ArianeGroup is showcasing some of its principal products. Together with models of the ArianeGroup-primed European Ariane 5 and Ariane 6 rockets, the accent is on the company’s wide expertise in space products and equipment.
In the spotlight are the ultra-light satellite antenna reflector, a range of leading-edge chemical and electric propulsion solutions for satellites and spacecraft, and pyrotechnic products developed by ArianeGroup’s subsidiary Pyroalliance.
Trends and developments
ArianeGroup will be taking part in numerous panels and conferences. Specialist ArianeGroup personnel will participate in a range of programmed sessions, including panel discussions, plenary and technical sessions, and presentations.
Human spaceflight is one of the IAC’s big topics. There will be a “Story Telling Session” on October 22 at which Stéphane Israël, CEO of Arianespace, will set out ArianeGroup’s assets for contributing to the adventure.
