This year, at Viva Technology, ArianeGroup amazed the trade show public with an Ariane 5 launch in Paris, and reached out to young professionals and space-inspired students.

Viva Technology, or VivaTech for short, is Europe’s number one annual startup and tech event. This year, it took place in Paris from June 15–18.

The trade show was a fantastic opportunity for ArianeGroup to connect with young graduates and spark their interest in the space industry. We offered reverse pitch sessions, an after-work event, speed coaching, and advice on writing resumes and preparing for job interviews.

VivaTech is also a temple of technology and the perfect setting for the immersive ArianeGroup/Devialet experience. For those who had not yet been able to see it at last year’s Expo Dubai or at the Samaritaine department store in Paris, the Cube made its comeback to the City of Lights.

Until now, witnessing such a powerful experience necessitated traveling to the European spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana. Not anymore. By combining their expertise, ArianeGroup and Devialet have encapsulated the most potent sound ever generated by humans, and made it available to everyone, in a soundproof cube equipped with eight Devialet Phantom 1 speakers.

The simply mind-blowing, visual and auditory journey, once again attracted a great number of visitors: the record virtual waiting time was more than 162 days. Guests included YouTube celebrity Dr Nozman, French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire, French Secretary of State for Digital Transition and Electronic Communications, Cedric O, and sculptor Anilore Banon.

We want to thank the 3,650 passengers who launched into space with us, especially for their starstruck gazes as they came out of the Cube. It will definitely remain one of the most memorable moments of the trade show.

Tell us about your experience, share your snapshots on our social media accounts, and let us know where you want the Cube to land next!
