We continue our interview series of employees who help produce the upper stage of the new European launcher

Prior to joining ArianeGroup in 2010, Cornelia worked as a project manager in the automobile industry. Her expertise in industrialization and serial production is key for her work on ArianeGroup products and Ariane 6 competitiveness.

What is your role in the Ariane 6 upper stage?

My team and I develop production concepts for the Ariane 6 upper liquid propulsion module. We put tools and infrastructure in place for the integration and testing of flight equipment, and we set up new processes for production techniques.

How do you feel about taking part in this exceptional program?

I was overjoyed when we delivered the first upper stage of Ariane 6. It represented a key step in this incredible adventure. I am especially proud of my colleagues and their unrelenting efforts, and eager to see a step-up in production while working with the same team.

What are your goals for the future?

I am eager to see Ariane 6 fly. The development phase will continue, nonetheless. We are already working on improvements for future lunar and, who knows, Mars missions. Above all, I want to keep working with the Ariane 6 team and watch the launcher take off to exciting destinations. I love my job. After all, building launch vehicles is no small endeavor!
